This palace became the "father" for all subsequent European palaces. They looked up to him and wanted to surpass him. The walls are built of limestone. At the same time, the southern one literally rose from the depths of the sea. Above, there was a gallery, where Vladyka usually spent his free time. Below were the gates, which could only be entered by boat. From the shore, the palace is surrounded by walls, the height of which is 20 meters. They were unapproachable. On the reconciled wall were the gates connecting to the Salon.

In front of the main entrance there is a hall - Peristyle, which you can still look at now, there is also a sphinx from Egypt - from the tomb of Thutmose III. The burial of Diocletian in the mausoleum, which was later converted into a Christian cathedral. A little later, the cathedral was converted into a Christian church. The sarcophagus with the ashes of Diocletian was taken outside during the perestroika, in its place is now the relics of the saint. At the moment, the palace is listed by UNESCO as a world heritage.
