Beaches in Israel

Israel is a country with a vibrant culture and traditions, many of which are known throughout the world. Although this state does not belong to the main tourist destinations in the world, many people from other countries come here on vacation. More Israel is known for the pilgrims who come here every year, and some combine visiting shrines and relaxing. Say what you like, but this small Middle Eastern country has managed to win the respect of tourists by offering really interesting opportunities for recreation. We can say that people come here from all over the world.

What can Israel offer vacationers? In addition to a huge number of interesting places and historical sights with a bright admixture of oriental flavor, there are many beaches that are in no way inferior to world resorts in their equipment. Every year, thousands of tourists rest on the beaches of Israel, each of them has their own impressions, everyone finds something interesting for themselves.

The Israeli Ministry of Ecology conducted a study of all the beaches in the country and compiled a rating based on all the data on 15 main criteria. This included such parameters as the cleanliness of the beach and coastal waters, infrastructure and equipment, the service offered, and accessibility for the disabled was also taken into account. Many tourists who are going to visit this country are guided by this rating when choosing a place to stay.

The Tzuk Tzafon Beach in Tel Aviv  received the highest score, with a score of 98 out of 100 possible. A similar result was achieved by another Israeli resort - "Arcadia Tzafon". Two points were deducted due to insufficient number of sun awnings. But, despite this, we can say that these are the most important beaches in Israel, they attract most of the tourists.

Leading positions are occupied by some other resort areas for recreation, for example, “Nordau-Matsitzim” with 97 points, which is also located near Tel Aviv. Herzel and Yerushalim received 96 points each, while Sironit Aleph, Akhziv, Hilton and Kiryat Chaim beaches received 95 points out of 100 possible. They used to be the main beaches of Israel, gathering several thousand people, but now, based on the rating compiled, they have received official status. The rest of the Israeli resorts were able to score a slightly lower number of points, but still remain quite comfortable and attractive to tourists.

However, the picture is far from being as perfect as it might seem at first glance. A number of beaches received very low ratings, and the inspectors were dissatisfied with the quality of service and other parameters. The compilers of the rating considered that "Khadery" and "Mikmoret" are far from ideal and cannot create decent conditions for vacationers, assigning them only 57 points. Although of all the categories for which the beaches were tested, they were able to earn the highest rating for the purity of the coastal water, but otherwise they failed, which is why the rating is so low.

In addition, according to the results of the audit, Hadera was recognized as the dirtiest beach in Israel. Such a status is unlikely to play a useful role in attracting tourists, especially foreign ones.
